Corporate Impact
Success depends on the impact you have on others
Aim
Our aim is to build success for your business, individuals and teams. We do that by improving the impact people have on each other throughout your organisation as well as between the organisation and its customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Business success
Business success depends on many things but when you boil them all down you’re left with the competence and quality of the people and their relationships. We call that Corporate Impact. It’s made up of Strategic and Personal Impact. By Strategic Impact we refer to concerns about strategic thinking, management of change, sustainability and implementation. Personal Impact is based on the 3 core competencies of all communications. It is a style of leadership and a way of communicating that brings about empowerment of individuals and organisations. While Strategic Impact becomes more important as you enter more senior roles, Personal Impact is important for everyone.

Blended Learning
Using the on-line Masterclass people throughout your organisation can be trained in the language and practice of impact in a way that is COST EFFECTIVE and FAST.
How it Works
Key leaders, sponsors and change agents attend real workshops. From this group, some are briefly trained to use the on line Masterclass to cascade it throughout the rest of the business. To cascade it, they will probably do it in several sessions over lunch breaks. Or if the cultural change involves thousands of people in different locations all over the world a webinar approach can be used. Some of the things you might discuss can include: what is impact, what value is it in your situation and how to implement the impact language in various business contexts such as client meetings, emails, teleconferences, and reviews of progress and so on. This helps build a positive impact culture.

When corporations want to improve their results they often engage in business transformations involving people, process and technology. Unfortunately many of these fail to deliver their promise because of resistance to change from people and the procedures they’ve got used to. Usually the human side of change is given low priority. The strategic aspects are done first and Personal Impact is not done at all or is left to the end. Too Late. Promoting Strategic Impact alone has low emotional engagement in the life of the transformation. It’s all conceptual. It withers on the vine and dies an untimely death. Cultural mismatch, people dis-empowered and low commitment to the strategy are some of the typical reason why they fail. We believe you have to implement Personal Impact programmes much sooner in the process of change. Build trust. Build engagement. Get people inspired. Sooner rather than later. Then people will gladly give of their discretionary effort up front. They’ll want to meet the needs of the business because now they own them. Now it’s personal.
Case Study
How The Impact Methodology saved a business transformation project from disaster
THE SITUATION: multi million pound business and IT transformation project for a multi-national company in the telecoms industry.
For several years they have been losing huge sums of money because of dysfunction stemming from a cultural mismatch in recent mergers and silo mentality. What the Impact programme achieved was to integrate leadership into the change process as well as powerful techniques to influence and inspire important senior stakeholders to take the right action.
The programme also generated team spirit, individual and mutual accountability and provided participants with an experience of personal transformation. This has resulted in many people giving of their discretionary effort to sign up to lead key business transformation projects. The success of this programme depends on high-level sponsorship plus clear definition of vital business projects to work on during and after several specific events of Impact Training and Team Development.

3.1 Impact Leadership
2 DAY IN-COMPANY WORKSHOP
With Follow On Coaching
Tailored to your requirements
This is our flagship High Impact Communication Programme to develop the core skills of impact to make you more credible, confident and compelling. It is set entirely in a practical business context and puts power and influence into the way you communicate.
You will work in small groups of about 10 participants per coach. You will practise the skills you’re learning using your own real day to day issues or project and find solutions and ways to communicate it that you can implement back at work. You are shown how to apply the core competencies of impact in several common business contexts. This workshop is tailored to your needs but to see a generic example of the kind of topics covered, have a look at the public workshop. You can see it by clicking here.
3.2 Impact Negotiations
How to Get The Deal And Be Invited Back
This is a two or three day negotiations programme. It is advisable that all participants have attended an Impact Leadership Programme.
The best conclusion in a negotiation is to create a result that is Win-Win for each side. This ideal depends on the quality of the partnerships and a set of identifiable skills and attitudes based on the Impact Language.
Many negotiators get caught between being too hard and harming the relationship, or too soft and failing to get their outcomes. We show you how to avoid this trap, get what you want in a professional context and at the same time maintain good relationships to obtain win-win for all.
3.3 Impact Teamwork
This is a two or three day team development programme in which participants are all members of the same team. This programme is based on the Impact Language and is designed to build the best response to the business demands required of the team. These teams become highly successful, deliver high performance and become a great group to work in.
3.4 Impact Tele-Conferencing
BUILDING EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
The Impact language is used as the basis for developing effective teleconferencing throughout your organisation. We all have phone meetings. When it’s a big conference with lots of people on the phone, most of us press ‘mute’ and get on with our job.
The purpose of this intervention is to retrieve employee engagement and develop great teleconferencing that keeps attention, shares information and solves problems.
